日本の地質百選に選ばれ、白亜紀時代の化石が豊富に出土する「恐竜の島」天草市御所浦町で、ガイドと共に貴重な化石の発見地を巡りながら化石採集ができるクルージングが始まりました。

普段は訪れることが難しいスポットを海上タクシーで巡るこのプログラムは、毎年多くの方に好評です。クルージングの後は、天草市立御所浦恐竜の島博物館の見学も予定されています。

【Amakusa City】 Dinosaur Island! Goshoura Fossil Collecting Cruise

Designated as one of Japan’s Top 100 Geological Sites, Goshoura in Amakusa City, known as ‘Dinosaur Island,’ is rich in fossils from the Cretaceous period. A new cruise allows participants to explore valuable fossil discovery sites with a guide.

This program, which visits hard-to-reach spots via a water taxi, has received great acclaim from many participants each year. After the cruise, a visit to the Amakusa City Goshoura Dinosaur Island Museum is also planned.
