【御船町】熊延鉄道 写真パネル展

懐かしい雄姿が今、甦る！

かつて、熊本と延岡を結ぶ壮大な計画のもとに誕生し、地域の生活を支えた熊延鉄道。

その歴史と記憶を鮮やかに蘇らせる「写真パネル展」が開催されます。

大正元年に設立され、大正4年（1915年）に熊本市春竹から嘉島町鯰間を結ぶ鉄道として開業。

その後、昭和7年（1932年）には美里町砥用町まで延伸されましたが、車の普及と時代の変化により、昭和39年（1964年）に惜しまれつつ廃線となりました。

この展示では、熊延鉄道の歴史を振り返る約100枚の写真パネルを展示。

かつての雄姿とともに、地域の風景や人々の生活の一部が甦ります。

【Mifune Town】Kumonobu Railway Photo Panel Exhibition

Nostalgic Glory Revived!

Once born under a grand plan to connect Kumamoto and Nobeoka, the Kumonobu Railway supported the daily lives of the local people.

Now, a Photo Panel Exhibition is being held to vividly bring back its history and memories.

Established in the first year of the Taisho era (1912), the railway opened in Taisho 4 (1915), connecting Harutake in Kumamoto City to Namama in Kashima Town.

Later, in Showa 7 (1932), the railway was extended to Toyo Town in Misato, but with the rise of automobiles, it was sadly discontinued in Showa 39 (1964).

This exhibition showcases around 100 historical photo panels, bringing to life the railway’s legacy and the landscapes of the region from that time.
