【山鹿市】第4回 山鹿たけのこ掘り選手権

山鹿たけのこ掘り選手権開催！

山鹿市は熊本県内で誇るたけのこ生産地ですが、近年、竹林の放置や後継者不足により生産量が減少しています。

そこで、山鹿のたけのこの魅力を再発見し、地域活性化を目指して、「スポーツ」と「たけのこ掘り」を融合させた日本初の試みとなる「山鹿たけのこ掘り選手権」が開催されます！

鞠智城をスタート地点とし、竹林まで約1キロのコースを走り抜け、その後、たけのこ掘りにチャレンジするアドベンチャーレースです。

参加者は走力と、たけのこを探し出す嗅覚を駆使して、自らの能力を試すことができます。

参加資格は高校生以上の男女で、参加者には山鹿の特産品であるたけのこが参加賞として贈られます。

このイベントを通じて、山鹿のたけのこを広くPRし、地域の活性化に貢献することを目指しています。

Yamaga Bamboo Shoot Digging Championship!

Yamaga City is renowned for its bamboo shoot production in Kumamoto Prefecture, but in recent years, the production has been decreasing due to the neglect of bamboo forests and a lack of successors.

To showcase the charm of Yamaga’s bamboo shoots and contribute to regional revitalization, the first-ever “Yamaga Bamboo Shoot Digging Championship”, blending “sports” and “bamboo shoot digging,” will be held!

Starting at Karako Castle, participants will run a course of about 1 km to the bamboo forest and then challenge themselves to dig bamboo shoots.

This adventure race will test both running abilities and the keen sense of smell required to find the bamboo shoots.

Participants must be high school students or older, and each participant will receive a bamboo shoot, a local specialty of Yamaga, as a participation gift.

Through this event, we aim to promote the charm of Yamaga’s bamboo shoots and contribute to the revitalization of the community.

山鹿竹笋挖掘大赛！

山鹿市是熊本县内著名的竹笋生产地，但近年来，由于竹林的荒废和后继者不足，竹笋的生产量逐年下降。

为了重新展示山鹿竹笋的魅力并促进地区振兴，**日本首创的“山鹿竹笋挖掘大赛”**将结合“体育”和“竹笋挖掘”举行！

比赛从鞠智城出发，参赛者需跑步前往竹林，约1公里的路线后，挑战挖掘竹笋。

这是一场考验跑步能力和嗅觉的冒险竞赛，参赛者需要凭借自己的能力找到竹笋。

参赛资格为高中生及以上的男女，所有参赛者将获得山鹿的特产——竹笋作为参加奖。

通过这个活动，我们旨在宣传山鹿竹笋的魅力，并为地区振兴做出贡献。
