元日は入園無料で、北口からご入場いただけます。

天守閣前広場では、力強い獅子舞や迫力満点の太鼓演奏、ひごまる隊や熊本城おもてなし武将隊によるステージイベントが繰り広げられ、賑やかな新春の雰囲気をお楽しみいただけます。

また、二の丸広場では先着2025名様に素焼きの盃「かわらけ」を無料配布します。

この機会に、熊本城ならではの特別な新春のおもてなしを体験してください。

On January 1st, 2025 (New Year’s Day), come and enjoy a special day welcoming the New Year at Kumamoto Castle!

Admission is free on New Year’s Day, and you can enter through the North Gate.

In the plaza in front of the main keep, enjoy powerful lion dances, thrilling taiko drum performances, and stage events by the Higoroku team and Kumamoto Castle Hospitality Samurai.

Additionally, in the Ninomaru Plaza, the first 2025 visitors will receive a free earthenware cup called “Kawarake.”

Experience a special New Year’s celebration with the traditions of Japan and the rich history of Kumamoto Castle.
