全国各地の職人技が生み出す、色とりどりの“どうぶつ”たちが大集合！

「創作工芸品展 －どうぶつ大行進－」では、熊本県の肥後象がんをはじめ、香川漆器、博多人形、木彫など、素材と特性を活かしたユニークで楽しい作品約100点を展示・販売します。

カンガルーをリアルに表現した博多人形や、動物の身体の模様をデザインした香川漆器など、どれも見る人を楽しませてくれる作品ばかり。

さらに、会期中は熊本市動植物園の動物たちの写真も特別展示されます。

出展者には、愛知県の七宝や滋賀県の藍染、香川県の香川漆器、福岡県の博多人形、佐賀県の木彫、そして熊本県の肥後象がんや肥後てまりなど、各地の伝統工芸の匠たちが集まります。

例えば、肥後象がんは坂元光香さんと坂本則康さん、香川漆器は一和堂工芸株式会社が手掛け、博多人形の作家たちがカンガルーをリアルに表現した作品を展示します。

A colorful collection of “animals” crafted by skilled artisans from across the country!

The Creative Craft Exhibition – The Great Animal Parade will showcase and sell around 100 unique works made from various materials, such as Kumamoto’s Higōzōgan (Higo ivory), Kagawa lacquerware, Hakata dolls, and wood carvings, all featuring animal themes.

From Hakata dolls realistically depicting kangaroos to Kagawa lacquerware designed with animal patterns, these delightful and unique creations will surely captivate visitors.

Additionally, during the exhibition, there will be a special display of photos featuring animals from the Kumamoto City Zoo and Botanical Garden.

Exhibitors include artisans from across Japan, such as Aichi’s cloisonné, Shiga’s indigo dyeing, Kagawa’s lacquerware, Fukuoka’s Hakata dolls, Saga’s wood carvings, and Kumamoto’s Higōzōgan, Higo Temari, and more.

For instance, Higōzōgan works will be displayed by Mitsuka Sakamoto and Noriyasu Sakamoto, while Kagawa lacquerware will be presented by Ichiwado Craft Co., and Hakata dolls artists will present kangaroo-inspired creations.
