5月3日（金）から4日（土）にかけて、「第29回 火の国長洲金魚まつり」が開催されます！

3日（金）のイベントでは、司会に緒方由美さん（通称：おがっち）を迎え、開会式や町内園児による遊戯の披露、長洲中学校吹奏学部による演奏、そしてシンガーソングライター関島秀樹さん（荒尾市出身）によるコンサートが行われます。さらに、8月に奈良県大和郡山市で開催される「第29回全国金魚すくい選手権大会」の出場権をかけた「第29回九州金魚すくい選手権大会」も開催されます。

4日（土曜日）には、「金魚すくい選手権大会（団体戦）」や「太鼓フェスティバル～長洲・荒尾・玉名・大牟田の太鼓が集結！」「チェーンソーアートの祭典」「JRウォーキング」などが行われます。

両日とも、「ながす金魚即売会」「物産市」「市町PRブース」「ながす軽トラ市」「ものづくりフェア」、「造船工場見学バスツアー」「なんさまきてみなっせ市（フリーマーケット）」「健康フェア」などのイベントも開催されます。
