阿蘇の草原を守るために、野焼き支援ボランティアに参加しませんか？

阿蘇の草原は、長年にわたり「採草」「放牧」「野焼き」の継続的な活動を通じて維持されてきました。

その中でも、野焼きは春先に原野の枯草を焼き払うことで草原を管理する重要な手法です。

この活動は、水源涵養や生物多様性の維持など、多くの恵みをもたらしますが、実は非常に準備や人手を必要とする大変な作業です。

残念ながら、担い手不足のため、地元だけで野焼きを行うことが難しくなった地域も増えてきました。

そこで、支援の手を差し伸べるのが「野焼き支援ボランティア」です。

ボランティアとして地元の方々と協力し、阿蘇の貴重な草原を守るために一緒に野焼きを行います。

ただし、野焼きは危険を伴う作業であり、参加するには適切な知識とボランティア活動時のルールを守ることが求められます。

そこで、今回開催する「野焼き支援ボランティア初心者研修会」では、安全管理やボランティア活動時のルール、活動参加の手順などを学ぶことができます。

【Aso City】Controlled Burning Support Volunteer Training Sessions (Held Twice a Month)

Would you like to join the volunteer effort to protect the Aso grasslands?

The Aso grasslands have been maintained over the years through continuous activities such as “grass harvesting,” “grazing,” and “controlled burning.”

Among these, controlled burning is an important method of managing the grasslands by burning the dead grass in the spring.

This practice contributes to many benefits, such as water source conservation and biodiversity, but it requires a lot of preparation and manpower.

Due to a shortage of volunteers, many areas have found it difficult to conduct controlled burning on their own.

That’s where the “Controlled Burning Support Volunteers” come in, working together with local residents to carry out this vital activity and preserve Aso’s precious grasslands.

However, controlled burning is a dangerous task, and participants must acquire the necessary knowledge and follow the rules of volunteering.

To help with this, we are hosting a “Controlled Burning Volunteer Training for Beginners” where you can learn about safety management, volunteer rules, and how to participate in activities.
