【天草市】通詞島

天草市五和町にある「通詞島」は、天草下島から「通詞大橋」で繋がっている小さな島です。

沖合には約200頭の野生のミナミハンドウイルカが生息しており、イルカウォッチングの名所としても知られています。

島には風力発電の白い風車が立ち並び、また、澄んだ海水を使ってこだわりの製法で海塩を作る工房も点在しています。

さらに、遠くには長崎や雲仙を望むことができ、自然豊かな環境が広がっています。

【Amakusa City】Tsūshi Island

“Tsūshi Island” is located in Gowa Town, Amakusa City, and is connected to Amakusa’s lower island by the “Tsūshi Bridge.”

The island is surrounded by rich waters, home to around 200 wild Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins, making it a popular spot for dolphin watching.

The island is also marked by white wind turbines for wind power generation.

Additionally, several workshops on the island produce sea salt using seawater drawn from the crystal-clear ocean, each employing unique methods.

From the island, you can enjoy a view of distant Nagasaki and Unzen, surrounded by beautiful natural scenery.
