【高森町】根子岳

その独特のギザギザの形状から、高森町のシンボルとして親しまれている根子岳。

阿蘇五岳の一つで、中岳や高岳に次ぐ高峰で、標高は1,408mです。

侵食の様子から、阿蘇五岳の中で最も古い時代の火山だと考えられており、阿蘇にまつわる神話にも頻繁に登場します。

頂上の岩場は危険ですが、麓からの登山道は登山愛好者に非常に人気があります。

It is one of the Aso Five Mountains, standing at an elevation of 1,408 meters, making it the third highest peak after Nakadake and Takadake.

Due to signs of erosion, it is believed to be the oldest volcano among the Aso Five Mountains, and it frequently appears in myths related to Aso.

While the rocky summit can be dangerous, the hiking trails from the foot of the mountain are very popular among enthusiasts.
